Gotlandsruss is our own, native breed that still live all year around at Lojsta moors. Perhaps it is the Gotland pony that has inspired the islanders to feel so great interest in horses? Western riding, horse racing, show jumping, dressage and horse breeding are a few of the different activities involving horses. Try horseback riding along Hovleden or indulge in a long weekend learning horse trotting.

You will get the real western feeling with all its ingredients. Here at Stall Änggårde we have courses in riding for 1-3 days which includes basic course in horse handling, a lot of riding, good food and accommodation in our cozy guest rooms.

Horse and Hotel
Stay at Best Western Strand Hotel in the middle of Visby inner city.
We offer a three-or five-hour ride with knowledgeable ride guide somewhere on Gotland. We can provide starting points anywhere around the island and with little or, alternatively, large demands on riding experience. You can also choose a horse and carriage without the need for riding experience and where those who want, ride next to you. Almost everyone can participate.
Back at the hotel why not enjoy the hotel's relaxation area with pool and sauna.
